I finally caved and bought a paid account today.
I then proceeded to choose what is probably this website's most obnoxious layout. It's so purple and Weeaboo and I love it.
I'll most likely get around to making my own theme from scratch... some day.
And now, I get to have lots of fun collecting/making moar icons!

I can't believe I start class again on Monday! I'm kinda excited. :D
I love the fact that I'm not going to be living in a dorm anymore. I can spend time with my family, I can go to church, and I have access to my art software.
Speaking of art, I was totally going to draw today. But I got side tracked. By this thread.
So basically, I was an unproductive bum today. Because I'm working on a totally Weeaboo collaboration with some fellow Homestar Runner fans, I decided to go to
in order to download some anime soundtracks. I registered so that I could download whole albums at a time, but for some reason, that bastard website automatically logged me out every time I tried to log in.
I downloaded all of the Ai Yori Aoshi albums track by track.
Because I really like Ai Yori Aoshi.
If I can somehow remain logged in, I'll download all of the Rurouni Kenshin albums as well (there are 24 of them and I want them ALL).
I should probably download some of the music from Gravitation, as it is relevant to the project I mentioned earlier.
I'll talk about this "project" in a later post. I don't want to divulge must at this moment.

Yesterday was awesome. I got to see my IRL best friend perform Christmas carols at the Peabody Place with his choir. I also got to watch him audition for "High School Musical". His audition was outstanding. He's bound to get a part for sure!
I haven't seen "High School Musical" yet. This is okay... I'd kinda rather watch it in play form than in movie form.
Last night wasn't as awesome. I got my grades back from Lambuth. To my surprise, I didn't fail math after all! I did, however, get a D. I also failed my Biology class. This didn't come as much surprise, but I'm still not happy about it. Mostly, I'm just dismayed at my stupid decision to sign up for Biology in the first place. Did I ever mention that I failed it in high school as well?
I spent most of today cleaning my room and doing laundry. My bookshelves are nice and dusted, and my manga collection is organized. Now, when my relatives visit me for Christmas, I can show off all 28 volumes of Rurouni Kenshin!I'm such a weeaboo dork.
Right now, I'm editing a Strong Bad/Strong Sad slash fic that
dutchtoast ,
oneinnabun and I wrote. This is how it went down: dutchtoast and I role played, I turned our role play into a rough draft, oneinnabun wrote the final draft, and now I am proofreading the final draft. I won't spoil it, but I will say that the fic is really cute. It's also in-character, thanks to oneinnabun.
I'm almost done with a commission I'm working on for
slashnaricssist . I completed the lines and the flat colors: all I have to do is add shading, highlights, and some other details. After I'm done with that, I think I'll do some Christmas themed drawings for some of the clubs I'm in. I might even whip something up for CAPSLOCK_ATLA. Actually, I'd like to do some "Mai-Chan's Daily Life" fan art soon. I'd also like to do some "Kodomo no Jikan" fan art.
Hmm! Now that I think of it, my taste in manga is a little strange. Guro and lolicon. I sometimes forget how desensitized I am. This is what I get for making Encyclopedia Dramatica my homepage! Let me reassure my readers: I have no desire to torture people, nor do I have the desire to molest children. As I said before, I have a weakness for shock manga. "Kodomo no Jikan" isn't actually a shock manga, but I'm sure that many people have found it shocking. I also have a weakness for taboo relationships in literature. Forbidden fruit is the sweetest fruit, or so they say.
As I was writing this journal entry, I got a ring at the doorbell. The Kick the Cheat doll and poster I ordered from the Homestar Runner store have been delivered! I'm so excited, because right after I ordered my Kick the Cheat doll, the website announced that they have less than 100 dolls left. I wonder if they will stop making them? If so, my little sister will be the proud owner of a collector's item!
I saw the new Decemberween toon, and it was awesome. I love how the trees in the stop-motion Christmas Special parody were Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes.
Speaking of Homestar Runner, I plan on working on opening CAPSLOCK_HSR to the public after I'm done with the art I need to finish. I've also been distracted by doing Christmassy things.
Tonight I have to go to a stupid Christmas party at my church. It's for college students . I don't want to go, but my aunt is the Sunday School teacher, so I kind of have to.
...Wow. This journal entry is kind of long, and it went all over the place. Why did I bother writing it? Why did you bother reading it?
I could go for some eggnog.

So, I finally downloaded "Mai-chan's Daily Life" today. Naturally, I've seen the infamous "Baby Fuck" page before, but I've never actually gotten around to reading the whole manga. This is because the manga can only be downloaded in RAR format, and I only recently downloaded RAR extracting software onto my laptop.
I will confess that I have a weakness for shock manga. For me, "Mai-chan's Daily Life" was a delightful read. The artwork was lovely, it was extremely well written, and it really dishes out the black humor.
Whenever you have a bad day, just think about poor Mai-chan. No matter how rough you have it, Mai-chan has it worse! It's always best to face your days with courage, and with a smile. Mai-chan is an inspiration to us all.
I recommend "Mai-chan's Daily Life" to anyone who is looking for something different in a manga. Don't let your conscience get in the way of you enjoying this work of art.

I'm going to start posting in this thing more.
I stayed up all night listening to music, lurking various online communities, and drawing. Lately I've been drawing a lot of HAVoC themed art. So far, I've sketched ASB, AHR, AM, AZ, and Champeen. I even spontaneously started on a fluffy ASB/AHR comic, which is Decemberween themed. Because I'm at college, I can't post any of this until the semester ends, because my scanner is at home.
I somehow got myself hooked on anime again. I thought that maybe I had outgrown the stuff, but it always finds its way back into my heart. I suppose I should just accept my identity as a Weeaboo.
Recently, I've been on a real Moe kick. In the past, I hated the Moe stuff and always opted for the Shonen anime instead. However, one Moe anime has stolen my heart: "Kodomo no Jikan".
( MOAR INFO UNDER THE CUT )
These past few days I've been watching "Lucky Star". Of course, once you watch "Lucky Star", you're Weeaboo forever. There is no turning back.
As far as shonen anime goes, "Busou Renkin" is really good. One of its villains also has the best best costume ever.
Seriously. Great costume or greatest costume?

I'm a gonna talk about movies.
"The Nativity Story" kicked "The Passion of the Christ"'s ass. Finally, a Biblical film that is actually entertaining (althought "The Passion" can be pretty good if you're in the mood for some blasphemous BDSM action). In "The Nativity Story", we see lots of character depth. We see Mary's insecurities and we see just how great of a guy Joseph was. Plus, the three wise men PWNED.
"Night at the Museum" was all kinds of awesome. I mean, I knew it was going to be good, but it turned out to be "holy crap" good. I was delighted to find that the wax sculpture of T.R. got a major role (T.R. is my favorite president). All of the characters were likeable, and all the characters had flaws. That is some damn good characterization, there. The Pharoah was my favorite character, soley because he was cool. Yep, he was cool. So, so, so, cool. SEE THIS MOVIE.
I bought Tezuka Osamu's "Jungle Emperor Leo" with my Christmas money, but I have yet to get around to watching it. I also bought some used "Sait Seiya" DVDs, which is a vintage Warrior God anime from the 80s. Yanno, the type of anime that was hand drawn, has a rock ballad theme song, and a bunch of bright, flashing colors in the background? It's beautiful.
