Today was pretty damn good. Long and tiring, but good.
I found out that I have more in common with my co-workers than I ever thought possible. When I got in this morning, my shift-leader Ben was singing "Popular" out loud while he worked. XD Not only does he have a great voice, but he knows the words to many of my favorite showtunes. We sang songs from "Wicked" and "Avenue Q" together until my other co-workers showed up.
We had a pretty slow day, so we were able to chat amongst ourselves a lot more than usual (don't worry; we still got all the work done XD). As it turns out, we're all big nerds. I used the terms "shipping" and "slash" and "/b/tard" and "CAPSLOCKER" they both knew what I meant. Turns out that Kayla, one of my co-workers, likes to RP here on El Jay just like I do.
We don't just talk about our hobbies. We also discuss politics and things of a more serious nature. When I found out that both Ben and Kayla were Pro Life, I was ecstatic. It truly is a blessing to find people who not only share your hobbies, but share your most treasured views as well. I've only been with these people for a few days, but it already feels like we are good friends.
Okay, so I'm gushing. It might even seem like I'm bragging. Last year, I worked at a cinema, with a lot of really condescending, lazy, bitter, and bitchy people. It was pretty much hell. I just want to emphasize how damn lucky I am to be working in a place with people who I love being with. I want to savor my situation while it lasts. I won't be working at Quiznos forever, and eventually, the people I'm working with will also move on to bigger and better things. Who you work with is just luck of the draw.

Okay, so my first day at work was pretty much awesome. I absolutely adore the people I'm working with. They're not bitchy or condescending; in fact, they are quite friendly and helpful. My shift leader said I was a fast learner. :3
Basically, what I'm doing is a little bit of everything save for sandwich making and register. That means I'm doing a lot of cleaning, meat/cheese slicing, sauce restocking, salad preparing, sandwich wrapping, and dish washing. As I learn more and more, I will work my way up to register and sandwich making as well.
Hahahaha guess what? A health inspector came in for a surprise visit, and on my first day no less. Our score was an 88 out of 100, for those who are curious. I was told that usually the store's score would have been in the 90s, but one of the dish-washing sinks broke down, costing us about 5 points.
The restless feeling I've been experiencing is gone now... employment does much to the psyche. My spirit feels renewed, so expect some art from me soon. If I don't start posting some pictures within the next few weeks, feel free to slap me with your e-cocks. No, really. I deserve it. ;A;

Well, I think the caffiene is finally starting to wear off.
Anyway, I'm going to a job interview today! Yaaaay! Hopefully I will become the newest worker at Quiznos. Finally, my sandwich-making skills will propell me towards bigger and brighter things.
You guys didn't know that I have mad sandwhich-making skills, did you? Well, now you know.

HAY, FELLOW ARTISTS! 8D
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN A SITUATION IN WHICH YOU NEED/WANT TO DRAW SO MANY THINGS, THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START?
'CAUSE, THAT'S THE SITUATION I'M IN RIGHT NOW.
ALSO, LOLOLOL I SHOULD BE DOING ENGLISH HOMEWORK INSTEAD OF ART ANYWAY.
Anywho, I'm about to go job hunting. I can't do odd-jobs at my dad's warehouse forever (even if it is a family business). I'm all tarted up, because employers don't like hiring people who look like slobs. I should probably take a photo of myself today, since I'm dressed up anyway. Not that I have a camera. Or photography skills.
What will I do with a steady flow of income? Pay off student loans, of course, but what else? Fancy new art software? Manga? Anime? Video games?Vibrators?
Nah. I think I'm just gonna buy myself some new clothes. I-I need new cloths. I basically have two outfits that I alternate. Lessee... I have two old pairs of sweatpants, one pair of blue jeans, and two T-shirts (both of them are "The Beatles" related). That's pretty sad. Actually, right now I'm wearing one of my sister's cute shirts because I don't have any of my own. In other words, it has become painfully obvious that I have reached the age in which my parents don't buy me clothes anymore.
Of course, I hate receiving clothes as gifts. Does anybody? I mean, the size is always wrong, or the article of clothing just isn't my taste.
ANYWAY. CLOTHES. DO WANT. WILL GET.
...AS SOON AS I GET MONEY.

Yesterday was the longest day ever: I was on the go from 6 AM to 10 PM.
While I was working, it started to snow outside. Nothing heavy; just a flurry that didn't stick. Nevertheless, it was very pretty, as if the world became a snow globe.
After work, I went to see the Passion Play that my church was doing. I used to love Passion Plays, but I haven't seen one in about 8 years. This Passion Play was very well directed, I thought, and I enjoyed myself very much.
As always, King Herod was all "LOL I'M AN EFFEMINATE PARTY ANIMAL WOO" and Pontius Pilate was all "ARRRG I'M TOO OLD FOR THIS SHIT".
OH! You know what my favorite part about any Passion Play is? It's the scene right when Jesus dies, and the Temple's Veil rips dramatically in two. I always dug that.
Anyway, today, I get to go to work again! Wooo! This will be my last day, though, as I am almost out of boxes to do. That means I can either do art tonight or tommorrow.

My dad (who is the manager of a company that sells trophy parts) decided to give me a temporary job. You see, the company buys it's parts from China, and we received many boxes of plastic trophy bases that were not assembled properly (the bottom part of each base was loose). Anyway, my dad "hired" me to unpack boxes of trophy bases, weld each loose part, and re-pack them. There are 40 bases in each box, and I re-packed 15 boxes. I got paid $2 a box, so I made $30 by the end of the day. When I figure in the number of hours I worked today, I made $5 an hour, which is just under the standard minimum wage in my area. Mainly, I'm proud that I didn't burn myself with the welding gun (which looks like a menacing hot glue gun). Right now, I'm sitting in my geography class, which is about to start.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is, "no art today".
:(
But yay for money!
