Goddammit, FandomSecrets. Now I have to draw this. As if I didn't already have too much to do!
(Jk, jk. I'm gonna have so much fun drawing this pairing! XD)
It's Wednesday! You know what that means!
Well, actually, you don't, because I haven't mentioned it before.
On Wednesday, I have two classes: Acting at noon and Typography at six. Instead of going home between those two classes, I just hang out in of the computer labs until Typography starts. I brought some paper for drawing, so I'm all set. I think I'll get started on the prize art for
slashnaricssist and
oneinnabun today. It's HSR stuff, so it should be fun.
I also wanna draw some "wedding snapshots" for Longshot and Smellerbee. My devotion to ATLARP may be creepy, but at least it's making me draw more.
OFF TOPIC: I'm going to do my best to land a job before the end of next week. I've applied to the local dry cleaning place (I have yet to hear back from them), and I'm going to work on applying for some jobs on campus (if I can figure out where to start!). Remember, I'm taking commissions right now, so drop me a line if you're interested.
There are two things that I need before I can establish my independance: a steady(ish) flow of income and 1334 driving skillz. After I aquire those two things, I can rent an apartment and drive myself places without killing anyone.
I think I'd like to drift a bit before I settle. [/vague]

IT'S HERE!
My ATLA Nick Mag, that is. Man, I was starting to worry! Anyway, I just got it, and it's in great condition. I'm about to crack it open right now!
Anway, last night on ATLARP was the wedding of Smellerbee and Longshot. If relevant to your interests, give it a read. It reads just like badfic, but much more endearing because it's in all caps. Plus, sections of it are illustaited by yours truly and
orepookpook (he plays Longshot).
In other fandom news, QC continues to be awesome (loved todays strip! <3), and the new sbemail was mildly innapropriate, as always. Actually, I've been so absorbed in ATLARP that I've been neglecting CAPSLOCK_HSR. And I mantain the darn comm! I deserve a spanking.

I am so addicted it's kinda sad. I stayed up till 3:00 AM roleplaying... and the night before that, as well.
WTF, CAPSLOCK_ATLARP.
I was tossing around the idea of starting an RP comm for CAPSLOCK_HSR, and apparently, several of the members were tossing around this idea as well. After thinking it through, I've decided that it's too early to start an RP comm. CAPSLOCK_HSR is still in its infancy: it needs time to grow before I start with the add-ons.
There will be a CAPSLOCK_HSRRP in the future... just not now.

I need a Sokka icon.
Anyway, today I finished some unfinished business from Christmas. Remember that HSR poster I bought myself? Well, today I went to Kinkos to get it laminated. It cost $20 to get that $10 poster laminated. It was completely worth it. It's so shiny and uncrinklable. I have it hanging over my HSR figurines. 8D
I also went to Target today so that I could spend the giftcard I got for Christmas. I bought a USB flash drive for my Typography class. It's shaped like a Lego block! That is epic.
I went to the movie section of Target so that I could locate a copy of "The Blues Brothers". They didn't have it, but I did buy the Futurama movie, "Bender's Big Score". I don't even care if it's good or not. I LOVE FUTURAMA SO MUCH.
I'm not gonna watch the movie until after I finish some art. The movie will be my "reward".

I can't believe I start class again on Monday! I'm kinda excited. :D
I love the fact that I'm not going to be living in a dorm anymore. I can spend time with my family, I can go to church, and I have access to my art software.
Speaking of art, I was totally going to draw today. But I got side tracked. By this thread.
So basically, I was an unproductive bum today. Because I'm working on a totally Weeaboo collaboration with some fellow Homestar Runner fans, I decided to go to
in order to download some anime soundtracks. I registered so that I could download whole albums at a time, but for some reason, that bastard website automatically logged me out every time I tried to log in.
I downloaded all of the Ai Yori Aoshi albums track by track.
Because I really like Ai Yori Aoshi.
If I can somehow remain logged in, I'll download all of the Rurouni Kenshin albums as well (there are 24 of them and I want them ALL).
I should probably download some of the music from Gravitation, as it is relevant to the project I mentioned earlier.
I'll talk about this "project" in a later post. I don't want to divulge must at this moment.

Yesterday was awesome. I got to see my IRL best friend perform Christmas carols at the Peabody Place with his choir. I also got to watch him audition for "High School Musical". His audition was outstanding. He's bound to get a part for sure!
I haven't seen "High School Musical" yet. This is okay... I'd kinda rather watch it in play form than in movie form.
Last night wasn't as awesome. I got my grades back from Lambuth. To my surprise, I didn't fail math after all! I did, however, get a D. I also failed my Biology class. This didn't come as much surprise, but I'm still not happy about it. Mostly, I'm just dismayed at my stupid decision to sign up for Biology in the first place. Did I ever mention that I failed it in high school as well?
I spent most of today cleaning my room and doing laundry. My bookshelves are nice and dusted, and my manga collection is organized. Now, when my relatives visit me for Christmas, I can show off all 28 volumes of Rurouni Kenshin!I'm such a weeaboo dork.
Right now, I'm editing a Strong Bad/Strong Sad slash fic that
dutchtoast ,
oneinnabun and I wrote. This is how it went down: dutchtoast and I role played, I turned our role play into a rough draft, oneinnabun wrote the final draft, and now I am proofreading the final draft. I won't spoil it, but I will say that the fic is really cute. It's also in-character, thanks to oneinnabun.
I'm almost done with a commission I'm working on for
slashnaricssist . I completed the lines and the flat colors: all I have to do is add shading, highlights, and some other details. After I'm done with that, I think I'll do some Christmas themed drawings for some of the clubs I'm in. I might even whip something up for CAPSLOCK_ATLA. Actually, I'd like to do some "Mai-Chan's Daily Life" fan art soon. I'd also like to do some "Kodomo no Jikan" fan art.
Hmm! Now that I think of it, my taste in manga is a little strange. Guro and lolicon. I sometimes forget how desensitized I am. This is what I get for making Encyclopedia Dramatica my homepage! Let me reassure my readers: I have no desire to torture people, nor do I have the desire to molest children. As I said before, I have a weakness for shock manga. "Kodomo no Jikan" isn't actually a shock manga, but I'm sure that many people have found it shocking. I also have a weakness for taboo relationships in literature. Forbidden fruit is the sweetest fruit, or so they say.
As I was writing this journal entry, I got a ring at the doorbell. The Kick the Cheat doll and poster I ordered from the Homestar Runner store have been delivered! I'm so excited, because right after I ordered my Kick the Cheat doll, the website announced that they have less than 100 dolls left. I wonder if they will stop making them? If so, my little sister will be the proud owner of a collector's item!
I saw the new Decemberween toon, and it was awesome. I love how the trees in the stop-motion Christmas Special parody were Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes.
Speaking of Homestar Runner, I plan on working on opening CAPSLOCK_HSR to the public after I'm done with the art I need to finish. I've also been distracted by doing Christmassy things.
Tonight I have to go to a stupid Christmas party at my church. It's for college students . I don't want to go, but my aunt is the Sunday School teacher, so I kind of have to.
...Wow. This journal entry is kind of long, and it went all over the place. Why did I bother writing it? Why did you bother reading it?
I could go for some eggnog.

It's so good to be back! I missed my room so much. Also, being away from my family for a semester has really caused me to appreciate them more. I get to spend today unpacking, re-organizing, and wrapping gifts. However, before I do that, I'd like to finally post some art. Of the HAVoC persuasion.

I have the tendency to go completely overboard when I do Christmas Shopping. This problem magnifies itself if I actually have money to spend.
I bought each of my cousins a jar of Play-Doh. They are adult cousins.
I also spent quite a bit at the Homestar Store. I only bought two things: a Kick the Cheat doll (for my youngest sister), and the series 1 poster (for ME). I think that my sister will get a real kick out of her Christmas present this year.
I couldn't resist buying myself that poster. It's on clearance, which means that TBC might discontinue it! Plus it's so big and colorful. My walls are so bare, and they need some love.
I feel that with all the rule 34 I'll eventually draw, I owe it to TBC to buy their merchandise.
I can't wait to wrap all the gifts I bought!

Holy fuck.
Mountain Dew Code Red.
Is delicious.
I don't particularly care for the original Mountain Dew. Heck, I usually don't even like soda in general.
The rush of cherry flavor must have been what won me over. The soda also has a mild taste and a low acidity, which I like.
Still, I've been drinking this junk like water. I need to stop. It can't be good for my heart... I think the sugar makes it beat faster.
Anyway.
I registered capslock_hsr as a LJ community. I'll start making it presentable after December 12, when I get home (and thus able to use my precious Photoshop). Holla at me if you want to mod.

Hey, guys.
I'm a member of several LJ communities, and by far my favorites are the capslock ones. They don't take anything seriously and thus are hilarious.
Outside of LJ, I am also a member of the hrwiki forum. Unlike the capslock communities, its posters are a bunch of douches and/or assholes. Plus, many of the threads are downright boring.
*Typical Sbemail Feedback Thread*
Poster #1: Best email in a while!
Poster #2: It wasn't as good as last week's email.
Poster #3: It was so much better than last weeks email!
Poster #4: It was okay. Nothing made me laugh out loud.
Poster #5: It sucked. TBC are loosing their touch.
Poster #6: Best email in a while!
*Snores*
So, here's what I'm going to do. Because I know of no lulzy Homestar Runner communities, I'm going to make one myself. Hopefully, I'll find some people who would want to mod: people who are both experienced with capslock communities and fans of Homestar.

I just finished my Biology final, which was 12 pages of concentrated Hell.
But I'm not going to talk about that.
For some reason, after the test was over, I started to think about the phrase "la petite mort". Literally, it means "the little death" in French. Colloquially, it is a popular term for "sexual orgasm".
Suddenly, Strong Sad's famous phrase "Each day we die a little more" popped into my mind. Then I remembered how in his old designs, he was wearing a striped shirt and beret.
This is amusing me probably more than it should.

BEST EASTER EGGS EVER, Y/N?
I'm going to start posting in this thing more.
I stayed up all night listening to music, lurking various online communities, and drawing. Lately I've been drawing a lot of HAVoC themed art. So far, I've sketched ASB, AHR, AM, AZ, and Champeen. I even spontaneously started on a fluffy ASB/AHR comic, which is Decemberween themed. Because I'm at college, I can't post any of this until the semester ends, because my scanner is at home.
I somehow got myself hooked on anime again. I thought that maybe I had outgrown the stuff, but it always finds its way back into my heart. I suppose I should just accept my identity as a Weeaboo.
Recently, I've been on a real Moe kick. In the past, I hated the Moe stuff and always opted for the Shonen anime instead. However, one Moe anime has stolen my heart: "Kodomo no Jikan".
( MOAR INFO UNDER THE CUT )
These past few days I've been watching "Lucky Star". Of course, once you watch "Lucky Star", you're Weeaboo forever. There is no turning back.
As far as shonen anime goes, "Busou Renkin" is really good. One of its villains also has the best best costume ever.
Seriously. Great costume or greatest costume?
