I'm so lazy about updating this darn thing.

Spring Break was epic. First day? Aunt's house. Second and third days? Made money. The next few days? ATLARP. Also, snow. FRIGGEN SNOW. AND IT STUCK. ILU, COLD FRONT. Yesterday, Aunt's house again. And today? My last day of Spring Break?

I'm traveling to Nashville with my IRL BFF to watch him do an audition. I'm comming with him for moral support. 

Oh, yeah. I totes stayed up all night chatting with  dutchtoast. MOSTLY IN ALL CAPS, CAUSE THAT'S HOW WE ROLL.  I also spent the night browsing through SetoAngel01's gallery.  SHE IS SOMETHING SPECIAL, YOU GUYS.

HOLY CRAP I HOPE I GET COFFEE TODAY.

So, instead on working on things that I should have been working on, I pissed away time on the CAPSLOCK ATLA oekaki board.

It's Wednesday! You know what that means!

Well, actually, you don't, because I haven't mentioned it before.
On Wednesday, I have two classes: Acting at noon and Typography at six. Instead of going home between those two classes, I just hang out in of the computer labs until Typography starts. I brought some paper for drawing, so I'm all set. I think I'll get started on the prize art for slashnaricssist and oneinnabun today.   It's HSR stuff, so it should be fun.

I also wanna draw some "wedding snapshots" for Longshot and Smellerbee.  My devotion to ATLARP may be creepy, but at least it's making me draw more.

OFF TOPIC: I'm going to do my best to land a job before the end of next week.  I've applied to the local dry cleaning place (I have yet to hear back from them), and I'm going to work on applying for some jobs on campus (if I can figure out where to start!).  Remember, I'm taking commissions right now, so drop me a line if you're interested.

There are two things that I need before I can establish my independance: a steady(ish) flow of income and 1334 driving skillz.  After I aquire those two things, I can rent an apartment and drive myself places without killing anyone.  

I think I'd like to drift a bit before I settle.  [/vague]

My ATLA Nick Mag, that is. Man, I was starting to worry! Anyway, I just got it, and it's in great condition. I'm about to crack it open right now!

Anway, last night on ATLARP was the wedding of Smellerbee and Longshot. If relevant to your interests, give it a read. It reads just like badfic, but much more endearing because it's in all caps. Plus, sections of it are illustaited by yours truly and  orepookpook (he plays Longshot).

In other fandom news, QC continues to be awesome (loved todays strip! <3), and the new sbemail was mildly innapropriate, as always.  Actually, I've been so absorbed in ATLARP that I've been neglecting CAPSLOCK_HSR.  And I mantain the darn comm!  I deserve a spanking.

Oh lawds, what a week.

First of all, I still haven't gotten that magazine that I ordered off of Ebay. I'm starting to worry.

Second of all, I sent in a job application to the local dry cleaners. Hopefully I'll get the job.

Third of all, my Valentine's Day was great. My best friend came over for a surprise visit, which was bitchin'.

Forth of all, OMG FRIDAY WAS A GREAT DAY FOR QC FANS!

Fith of all, I made Smellerbee pregnant on ATLARP for the lulz. Longshot later proposed.

Okay. So, over at ATLARP, they had a "Make your own porn" thread. I was actually quite proud of my contribution, so I thought I'd share it here.

Okay. Now I know I've been on CAPSLOCK_ATLARP too much.

I had an Avatar dream. It kinda dumped around... I know that I was Smellerbee at first, but then I was just myself. Apparently, I'm an Earthbender in my dreams... which is odd, because I always fancied myself to be a Waterbender (because my zodiac sign is Cancer). Anyway, I don't remember any of the dream except for the very end. Toph and I were arguing for some reason, and then we started sparring against each other with our Earthbending, not to win or loose, but to prove our endurance. It was really cool and epic, and we both took beatings from each other, but we didn't care because we were having fun. Then Long Feng showed up... as the bad guy.... I don't know why... and Toph and I started fighting him...

and then the phone rang, waking me up. :(

I am so addicted it's kinda sad. I stayed up till 3:00 AM roleplaying... and the night before that, as well.

WTF, CAPSLOCK_ATLARP.

I was tossing around the idea of starting an RP comm for CAPSLOCK_HSR, and apparently, several of the members were tossing around this idea as well. After thinking it through, I've decided that it's too early to start an RP comm. CAPSLOCK_HSR is still in its infancy: it needs time to grow before I start with the add-ons.

There will be a CAPSLOCK_HSRRP in the future... just not now.

So, apparently there's a tornado warning or whatever where I live. I can hear outside a bunch of thunder, wind, and sirens.

So, if I don't post in a couple of days, it's safe to assume that I died.

Anyway, I just joined capslock_atlarp as smeller_b. I love Smellerbee. I even made a bunch of icons for the account.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm immensely pleased with how this turned out.

Last September, an all Avatar the Last Airbender edition of Nick Magazine hit the shelves.

However, because I was so wrapped up in college, I didn't even hear about it until after they were out of print.

SO I BOUGHT ONE ON EBAY JUST NOW! 8D

They didn't have a "buy now" option, so I had to engage in a bidding war with two other fans. However, I was dedicated. I made the Ebay page my home page. I kept a constant eye on the bidding progress, waiting until the last moment to strike.

I purchased it for 21 dollahs. I have no regrets.

First off, what do you think of my new icon? XD

As much as I love HSR, ATLA has a big place in my heart as well. I'll probably buckle down and upgrade soon. I want moar userpics.

Well, I was reading Rufftoon's Zhao comic, which prompted me to re-watch Book 1.

It really is an enjoyable season. It's so much fun watching the characters develop and the the character designs subtly change.

Here's one thing odd that I've noticed: in Book 1, Zuko has jet black hair, and Aang has brown eyebrows. By Book 3, their hair colors seem to switch.

I remember my first time watching the show through. I decided that Appa was my favorite character. After a re-watching, I realized that Katara was my favorite character. No, really! I think it's because she reminds me of a really good friend I had in the past.

It's funny how much even a die hard fan can forget over the course of 3 seasons. For example, everyone seems to be frustrated with Katara for being a "bitch" to Zuko. After re-watching Book 1 alone, I'm surprised that she hasn't challenged him to a fight yet. If anything, she's showing restraint.

I had also forgotten what a fun villain Zhao was, how utterly awesome Jeong Jeong was, and how dominatrixy sexy June was, and what a powerful Earthbender Haru is.

I... I mildly ship Haru with Katara. I think it could be interesting. You know... as long as he shaves the mustache/soul patch combo.

Oh. My. God.

Remember how I posted earlier about how I watched "But I'm a Cheerleader" for the first time?

Well, in the movie, their is a character named Dolph. Without spoiling much, he is a gay teenager who makes out with another boy several times during the film. While I was watching the film, I couldn't help but feel that the voice of the actor playing Dolph sounded extremely familiar.

Today, I was reminded of that curiosity. I looked up the "But I'm a Cheerleader" Wikipedia article to find out more information on the actor who played Dolph.

The name of the actor is Dante Basco.

He is also the voice of Prince Zuko.

WHAT.

...and it was amazing. Probably my favorite episode so far.

It was simultaneously funny, breathtaking, and homo-erotic! Yay!

I won't spoil anything. Just watch the episode so that we can squee over it together.
