Last night, I finished "Justice for All!"
I already started on "Trials and Tribulations." I feel like I'm finally starting to catch up to the rest of the fandom. :')

Okay, so long story short, I used to live in Texas, and I had a lot of crap, so some of my stuff stayed in boxes in a warehouse in Tennessee when I moved to Tennessee.
:Db
Because my mom will be moving out of the house soon, my dad has taken it upon himself to transfer some of those boxes back to our house. I just unpacked a box that was filled with a bunch of my old childhood books (in addition to some manga... I forgot that I was a big Rumiko Takahashi fan back in the day).
One of my books was called "Mandie and the Secret Tunnel."

I hate movie theatres.
However, there was a film that I really wanted to see. Earlier tonight, I stepped into a cinema for the first time in seven months.
The film that I saw was Ben Stein's documentary, "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed."
I liked it, although I did snicker at its major evocation of Godwin's Law.
I guess I could share my opinion on the issue of Evolution vs Intellegent Design, but I really don't feel like it. You guys can share with me your opinions on the matter if you want, but chances are good that I won't care about what you have to say.
....I'm just being honest. :C

Last night, I dreamed that I got a bunch of fucking tattoos. :/
I got Mickey Mouse's head on my arm, the face of Edgar Allen Poe on my side, and a giant portrait of Phoenix Wright on the left side of my back. During the dream, I was contemplating getting an Edgeworth tattooed on the right side of my back.
For the record, I don't want to get any tattoos. If I had to, it would be of a unicorn riding a snowmobile, with the caption: "Born to be Danged".

Guess what.
I wrote fic. I actually wrote fic.
The Phoenix Wright Kink Meme has been a great source of inspiration for me... which is a little sad, but I'll take questionable inspiration over no inspiration. I already fulfilled two prompts via drawing, but last night I actually responded to a prompt with writing.
WRITING. OH GOD I ACTUALLY WROTE SOMETHING. WHY AM I SO PROUD OF THIS.
I'm not going to say what I wrote, naturally. For some reason, however, I feel the need to proclaim to my f-list that I contribute to the dang thing. AND THAT I HAVE BEEN BITTEN BY THE FAN FIC BUG. If you guys wanna guess what I wrote (all of my contributions have been to Part 6 thus far), go ahead. I wonder how obvious my writing style (since when do I have a writing style?) is.
Also, I still need moar PW icons.

You know, that's a very good question. XD;
After visiting gurochan.net, I realized that there are not many things that squick me. Two of my favorite manga deal heavily with common squicks: "Mai-chan's Daily Life" and "Kodomo no Jikan". If you haven't heard of those titles, read the Wikipedia articles.
What squicks you? Inflation? Lolicon? RPS? These things don't really bother me. This is not to say that they are interests of mine, but I can usually find lulz in such things. I'm not a sexual fiend. I just have an off-color sense of humor.
Thanks to ED, I can even find humor in the one thing that ever truly appalled me: hentai that is sexist against women. That... that kind of stuff actually makes up most of the mainstream hentai market. Of course, I realize my double standard: a favorite genre of mine is femdom. I still cringe at pictures of Sailor Mercury being mercilessly raped, but when I remember that I would enjoy a picture of Sailor Mercury mercilessly raping her would-be rapist, I just laugh.
I mean, these things are just pictures, you know? What kind of people draw them? What kind of people look at them? In the end, we are all just a bunch of nerds. We may be creepy, but we are harmless.
Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I guess the truth is that I don't have any honest-to-God squicks. There are things that I don't like, but I'm not about to be revolted by something that some geek drew (or wrote). Live and let live, you know?
I'll close by saying this: I have learned the hard way that although not much bothers me, I should still be empathetic towards the sensibilities of my friends. It's a good trait to be able to perceive what line you shouldn't cross with certain people. It's harder over the internet, because I can't see your facial expressions and what not, but I am trying. However, now you all know that you can talk to me about anything. Are you a necrophiliac? Don't worry, I won't judge you.

Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something, ask a question, or name a subject that I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, my religion, political leanings, insecurities, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc.
I usually keep my more controversial opinions to myself for two reasons: I don't feel like arguing, and I figure that you guys don't care much about my views on things. However, in case you do care, now's your chance to get to know me better. Ask me anything, and I'll answer honestly. :)

| You are not generally self conscious about yourself, however you experience panic, confusion, and helplessness when under pressure or stress. You lead a leisurely and relaxed life. You would prefer to sit back and smell the roses than indulge in high energy activities. You prefer the security and stability brought by conformity to tradition. You do not like to claim that you are better than other people, and generally shy from talking yourself up, however you believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary. You are guarded in new relationships and less willing to openly reveal the whole truth about yourself. You are not an overly cautious person. You will think about alternatives and consequences but make up your mind fairly quickly. |

Today was pretty damn good. Long and tiring, but good.
I found out that I have more in common with my co-workers than I ever thought possible. When I got in this morning, my shift-leader Ben was singing "Popular" out loud while he worked. XD Not only does he have a great voice, but he knows the words to many of my favorite showtunes. We sang songs from "Wicked" and "Avenue Q" together until my other co-workers showed up.
We had a pretty slow day, so we were able to chat amongst ourselves a lot more than usual (don't worry; we still got all the work done XD). As it turns out, we're all big nerds. I used the terms "shipping" and "slash" and "/b/tard" and "CAPSLOCKER" they both knew what I meant. Turns out that Kayla, one of my co-workers, likes to RP here on El Jay just like I do.
We don't just talk about our hobbies. We also discuss politics and things of a more serious nature. When I found out that both Ben and Kayla were Pro Life, I was ecstatic. It truly is a blessing to find people who not only share your hobbies, but share your most treasured views as well. I've only been with these people for a few days, but it already feels like we are good friends.
Okay, so I'm gushing. It might even seem like I'm bragging. Last year, I worked at a cinema, with a lot of really condescending, lazy, bitter, and bitchy people. It was pretty much hell. I just want to emphasize how damn lucky I am to be working in a place with people who I love being with. I want to savor my situation while it lasts. I won't be working at Quiznos forever, and eventually, the people I'm working with will also move on to bigger and better things. Who you work with is just luck of the draw.

Lately, whenever I try to draw something, it ends up looking terrible. Like, even the act of drawing has become tedious. I'm trying to plow through a commission right now... I want to finish it as soon as possible, but I also want it to be a work of quality.
I think it's safe to say that I shouldn't become a cartoonist after all. I suppose that the username that I chose for myself at the age of 13 is a bit pretentious. Kartoon Kween indeed...
Anyway. Yesterday, I saw "Sweeney Todd" for the first time. After seeing so many negative reviews on F!S, I wasn't really expecting much, but I ended up loving the film. It had everything a movie should have: buckets of blood and musical numbers.
I always wait for movies to come out on DVD before seeing them. After working in a cinema last year, I have grown to loath them. I have absolutely no idea what's playing right now.
I want to see "Across the Universe" like burning. I need to drive down to Walmart and pick up a copy. With my new job, I can actually afford to spend money on a movie every now and then.

Okay, so my first day at work was pretty much awesome. I absolutely adore the people I'm working with. They're not bitchy or condescending; in fact, they are quite friendly and helpful. My shift leader said I was a fast learner. :3
Basically, what I'm doing is a little bit of everything save for sandwich making and register. That means I'm doing a lot of cleaning, meat/cheese slicing, sauce restocking, salad preparing, sandwich wrapping, and dish washing. As I learn more and more, I will work my way up to register and sandwich making as well.
Hahahaha guess what? A health inspector came in for a surprise visit, and on my first day no less. Our score was an 88 out of 100, for those who are curious. I was told that usually the store's score would have been in the 90s, but one of the dish-washing sinks broke down, costing us about 5 points.
The restless feeling I've been experiencing is gone now... employment does much to the psyche. My spirit feels renewed, so expect some art from me soon. If I don't start posting some pictures within the next few weeks, feel free to slap me with your e-cocks. No, really. I deserve it. ;A;

Tomorrow, I start work. Also, my Photoshop is acting up on me, which is the reason why I haven't presented any arts recently. Plus, I have this sort of restless feeling which causes me to stop what ever I'm doing in favor of taking long walks outside.
Also also, what's a fan gotta do in order to get some decent Edgeworth/Maya fic around here? I mean, I like P/E as much as the next fan, but come on!
You know what? Fuck art! Fuck the internet! Fuck fandom!
BRB, REAL LIFE.

Well, I think the caffiene is finally starting to wear off.
Anyway, I'm going to a job interview today! Yaaaay! Hopefully I will become the newest worker at Quiznos. Finally, my sandwich-making skills will propell me towards bigger and brighter things.
You guys didn't know that I have mad sandwhich-making skills, did you? Well, now you know.

Well, I just got back from another card night. You see, some of my Sunday School buddies like to get together and do activities together, at places, for some time. Sometimes, we go to Starbucks to play cards.
Tonight was such a night.
I love my Sunday School buddies. ;_; We're all females... late teens to mid twenties. I'm pretty sure that I'm the youngest at 18, but whatev!
Anyway, I wanted to be hardcore, so I ordered a hardcore drink.
BLACK COFFEE WITH SIX SHOTS OF EXPRESSO. 8D 8D 8D
God, I am so wired. I don't have the shakes, but there is no way that I'm getting any sleep tonight. I PROMISE THAT I AM TOTES GONNA WORK ON ART, INSTEAD OF PLAYING PHOENIX WRIGHT.
I'm in the process of making myself some PW icons, btw. It's gonna be rad. I'm thinking of making myself an Edgeworth mood theme, even though I really like the one I have now. Lolcats ftw!
Anyway, art. I'm going to work on commissions. I'm also going to work on a SUPER SEEKRIT project that I'm doing for CAPSTARA. I'm hoping that they will get a kick out of it.

HAY, FELLOW ARTISTS! 8D
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN A SITUATION IN WHICH YOU NEED/WANT TO DRAW SO MANY THINGS, THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START?
'CAUSE, THAT'S THE SITUATION I'M IN RIGHT NOW.
ALSO, LOLOLOL I SHOULD BE DOING ENGLISH HOMEWORK INSTEAD OF ART ANYWAY.
Anywho, I'm about to go job hunting. I can't do odd-jobs at my dad's warehouse forever (even if it is a family business). I'm all tarted up, because employers don't like hiring people who look like slobs. I should probably take a photo of myself today, since I'm dressed up anyway. Not that I have a camera. Or photography skills.
What will I do with a steady flow of income? Pay off student loans, of course, but what else? Fancy new art software? Manga? Anime? Video games?Vibrators?
Nah. I think I'm just gonna buy myself some new clothes. I-I need new cloths. I basically have two outfits that I alternate. Lessee... I have two old pairs of sweatpants, one pair of blue jeans, and two T-shirts (both of them are "The Beatles" related). That's pretty sad. Actually, right now I'm wearing one of my sister's cute shirts because I don't have any of my own. In other words, it has become painfully obvious that I have reached the age in which my parents don't buy me clothes anymore.
Of course, I hate receiving clothes as gifts. Does anybody? I mean, the size is always wrong, or the article of clothing just isn't my taste.
ANYWAY. CLOTHES. DO WANT. WILL GET.
...AS SOON AS I GET MONEY.

Well, I finally finished my first Phoenix Wright game. Hooray! I have the second and third games on my shelf, waiting for me. I plan on shelling out some cash for a DS of my own, so I don't have to keep borrowing my sister's. I'll probably get the dark blue one, even though the pink one is super cute and reminds me of Princess Peach. If they ever come out with a wine red DS, I'm buying that one. I can only dream.
Man. I sort of have a tendency to neglect my journal for days, and then write tl;dr entries in-between those time gaps.
Like, my weekend was great, guys. On Saturday, I was on my computer, doing some artwork for ATLARP, when my dad comes in my room saying that he hasn't seen me all day. That's when I sort of as him if he wanted to go outside with me to toss a football around.
We don't have a football.
WE HAVE A FRISBEE.
ALSO, IT WAS SUPER WINDY OUTSIDE.
SO WE THREW THE FRISBEE AT EACH OTHER FOR A WHILE, THEN DECIDED TO FLY A KITE INSTEAD.
On Sunday, I celebrated Easter because, lol Christian. I ate soooooo many Peeps this year. WTF I HATE PEEPS.
And then, for the next few days, I did some stuff that I can't remember doing. I do remember downloading uTorrent, so I could illegally obtain a dating sim that I've wanted to play for years. It's called "Kana: My Little Sister". I wanna play it, because the storyline is said to be superior, plus the game is supposed to be a real tear-jerker. I LIKE TEAR-JERKERS, GUYS. BECAUSE I'M A SENSITIVE PERSON. REALLY, I AM.
ANYWAY. The game took two days to download, and when it downloaded, I couldn't open it. So, I downloaded Daemon Tools. BUT DAEMON TOOLS WON'T OPEN, EITHER.
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!! This whole torrent thing is more trouble than it's worth. I'll probably just give up and buy the damn game like I'm supposed to.
SO, I GUESS THAT'S PRETTY MUCH BEEN MY WEEK. Right now, I'm doing artwork of the animu HSR variety.
Oh, yeah. You know you're curious.
